Our Story

The Wild Goose, Gidgegannup has charismatic appeal. It is set amongst 600 acres of natural Australian bush land. Noble Falls has gently sloping hills with extensive views to the East and North. We are located on the outskirts of the rural township of Gidgegannup, Western Australia, a 25 minute scenic drive east of the Swan Valley. The Estate boasts acres of grape vines, rosemary and lavender fields.

The Wild Goose is a large venue which features a wine dungeon, cafe and soap factory. The Wild Goose Cafe will be open lunchtimes Wednesday – Sunday and offers a casual dining menu.

The Wild Goose is an excellent destination for families, tour groups, clubs, and large groups wanting to experience a peaceful bushland setting, whilst enjoying the attractions located within the estate. The rustic buildings overlook rolling green lawns to our lake and native Australian shrubs and gumtrees, which are home to prolific bird and wildlife

We have an old shearing shed, that has been refurbished and reborn as a gift shop and Wine Dungeon. The gift shop is aptly called the ‘The Old Soap Factory’ we sell all soaps and candles made from all natural essential oils. We also manufacture other handcrafted giftware such as solid Jarrah bread boards and cheese boards, to run with the rustic theme, and hand sewn, colourful aprons. The Wine Dungeon is where you may come and sample our many wines with a complimentary wine tasting, once again, this building really is a sight to behold, especially considering it was once a shed dedicated to shearing sheep!

Our café – named “The Wild Goose Café’ after the Wild Geese that come and swim on our lake, particularly has been very popular, it is a café setting that serves lavish restaurant food. It was important to us that we make the café friendly to all walks of life, from young families, middle aged couples, the disabled and the elderly. We have achieved this by making the café full wheelchair and gopher accessible and adding a large oval near the alfresco area for children to run and play with bats and balls that we provided by us, while their parents relax and enjoy their meal. In addition to our ala carte menu, we run set menu’s and senior specials that is attracting busloads of seniors each week

With the venue being set up in the bushland of the hills, there is much wild life that can be seen, with kangaroos hopping right up to and around the grassed area, often while the patrons eat their meals. There are many species of birds to gaze upon and best of all we have 100’s of the endangered species, long necked turtles breeding in our lake, they can be seen when they come to the surface to feed on the many dragonflies that come to drink there.

Historical Noble Falls

The Noble Falls is only a short 30 minute drive from midland where the Gidgegannup and Wooroloo brooks combine. The wildflowers are in bloom in the spring and the waterfall is stunning in winter.
